Washington Wild strongly supports your right to the privacy of your personal information. This privacy statement discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for the Washington Wild web site. Except as provided below, or as you have otherwise authorized, your contact information will be treated confidentially and will not be shared with organizations not affiliated with Washington Wild.

E-Mail Addresses
Washington Wild does not sell, rent, lend or trade the e-mail addresses of its members, supporters or website users.

We collect contact information from those who fill out contact forms, sign postcards or petitions, sign up to volunteer or subscribe to our online alerts or newsletters. This information is used for our campaigns and may be used by Washington Wild for future activities such as action alerts, campaign updates, information about upcoming events or invitations to join Washington Wild. Also, Washington Wild will make available the information (including your opinion and identity) provided on clearly designated contact forms (such as email messages to public officials) to the public officials listed on the contact forms.

Postal Mailing Lists
Washington Wild occasionally rents or trades its postal mailing list (but never e-mail addresses) to like-minded nonprofit organizations that wish to offer information to our subscribers. Please contact us if you wish to opt-out of these mailings.

We keep statistics on the usage of this site in order to evaluate our program effectiveness. These statistics do not include personal information of any kind.

Confidential financial information is not retained by us in any electronic form.

Washington Wild does not collect or retain electronic financial information that you may provide online for membership, merchandise, donations, or other products or services selected by you. Financial information that you provide online for these purposes is collected and processed by a third party directly on their site. These sites have security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under their control.

We do not knowingly collect any individually identifiable information about children who may visit our site. Our site is in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule.
